Key components to successful use of a colostrum replacer:

• Clean mixing and feeding equipment
• Ensure water temperature is at 40°C
• Measure colostrum powder and water
• Mix with a whisk until completely combined for 30 to 60 seconds
• Feed the appropriate amount of colostrum based on immunity goals

Maternal Colostrum Replacement:

Best practice:

1kg of NEO Complete GOLD colostrum powder with 2 litres of warm water (40ºC) to make 3 litres of ready-to-feed colostrum.

Alternative:

500g of NEO Complete GOLD colostrum powder with 1.5 litres of warm water (40ºC) to make 2 litres of ready-to-feed colostrum. Repeat with another 500g 6 hours later to fully replace.

Extended Colostrum Feeding:

50g/calf/day of NEO Complete GOLD colostrum powder into whole milk or milk replacer for 7-10 days to support localised gut health and overall calf performance.

Maternal Colostrum Supplementation or Enhancement:

Supplement 100g of NEO Complete GOLD colostrum powder into 1 litres of warm water (40ºC) to make just over 1 litre of ready-to-feed colostrum supplement. Repeat 6-8 hours later as an energy source.

Enhancement 100g of NEO Complete GOLD colostrum powder into maternal colostrum to increase the Brix reading by 2%.
